Introduction to Revert Stories

Revert Stories

Over the month of Ramadan, we will be sharing the stories of sisters who came to Solace when they had nowhere else to go. These stories were taken from real cases that our support workers have helped since Solace began, and they will help you to understand the struggles and the journey of our sisters from where they were, to how Solace supports them.

Amongst the Muslim community, Solace aims to increase awareness on the circumstances and struggles of our revert sisters, and to raise understanding on both their plight and the solutions they need. Through Revert Stories, Solace highlights the relevance of this cause, and the significance of your help and how your help makes a difference in aiding revert sisters.

Follow along via our blog or on our Facebook page, and share with others so we can eliminate injustice, redress the imbalances, and fulfill the needs of our sisters. Let’s do our part in supporting this neglected group of our community.

The Revert Stories are in aid of Solace UK’s “Be Her Solace” campaign, which are 8 simple ways you can give our revert sisters solace in Ramadan.

  2. Make a Single Donation
  3. Help Build Services

  8. Give an Eid Gift

Disclaimer: These stories are derived from multiple real stories to depict real-life events and circumstances experienced by revert sisters. While the stories are based on real-life events, none of the stories belong or refer to one particular person. Full anonymity and confidentiality has been upheld in the writing of Revert Stories. Solace takes the privacy of its service users seriously. All names, characters, locations and events have been changed.
