“I felt protected and loved as a Muslim, and that meant everything to me at the time.”

Becoming a Muslim is a life-changing experience, which is very exciting.

However, it can also be isolating; especially for revert sisters. This is where Solace comes in.

I had joined the deen previously, but because of an unfortunate experience, I gave up and returned to the secular world. Subhanallah, Allah brought me back to the deen in 2013, and, having heard about Solace.

I made contact with them and almost immediately, I was contacted by a wonderful sister who made me feel at ease.

I was allocated with a lovely support worker, who, in accordance with my preferences, contacted me on a weekly basis.

She gave me advice, support, knowledge and confidence and for that I will be eternally grateful.

She was there for me when I had bad experiences and showed me that remaining a Muslim would be challenging but very rewarding..

I must refer to one particular occasion when she and two other sisters supported me during a very difficult time. I felt protected and loved as a Muslim, and that meant everything to me at the time.

Thank you for your support and generosity of spirit. God bless you. Solace was there for me when I really needed help and I shall never forget it.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Solace to any revert sister in need. We really need them.

When a revert sister comes to Solace for help, Solace assigns a support worker to provide tailored support, and the revert sister meets with the support worker on a weekly basis (otherwise known as support sessions).

Solace is currently supporting 87 revert sisters weekly.

Please consider donating £10 monthly to allow us to continue supporting revert sisters in difficulty.
