Dear supporters,
As we reflect on the first half of 2025, my heart overflows with gratitude. Together, we have continued to uplift, empower, and walk beside revert Muslim women as they navigate the many layers of transformation in their lives. Your unwavering support keeps Solace a safe place and a beacon of light, alhamdulillah.
I would like to update you on everything Solace for the first half of 2025..
Retreats, the Launch of Solace Institute and more! 🎉
We began the year with profound intention and impact.
Our first-ever Dorset Retreat; that engaged women in spiritually focused writing workshops, offered 29 revert women a space to reflect and grow ahead of Ramadan.
We also hosted community Iftar and Eid events in both London and Manchester.
In March 2025, we launched the Solace Institute with our inaugural course: “Inspiring Hope, Resilience and Connection through the Quran” Delivered in partnership with Ustadha Ola from Arabic Gems, this free, online course reached over 250 participants from 41 countries, spanning every continent.
Ongoing Support: Meeting the Needs of a Growing Community 📈
Our insights over the last two quarters show key patterns:
- -Increase in new Muslims, particularly from Hindu and Sikh backgrounds
- -Rise in complex support needs
- -Recurrent challenges of social isolation, identity struggles, and family rejection
These developments reaffirm the urgent importance of Solace’s personalised, faith-centred approach.
From January to June, we have supported 349 revert women from 10 countries, compared to 409 in all of 2024. We have delivered 1062 one-to-one support sessions in the first half of 2025 covering:
- -Emotional & Islamic mentorship
- -Single mum support
- -Domestic violence response
- -Islamic education and practical support for new Muslims
Our team has grown to 27 dedicated part-time staff, alongside 47 committed volunteers, all working to serve with compassion and excellence.
Financial Relief💷 (for revert women who are resident in the UK)
In Q1 and Q2, we distributed £52,283 in direct financial support to revert women facing financial crisis. These funds provided immediate relief to those revert women and their families. May Allah reward every single donor who contributed to this vital lifeline.
Marriage Service 💍 (currently for revert women who have accessed 1-1 support)
Solace supported 24 revert women in navigating marriage challenges:
- –4 in pre-marriage preparation
- –20 in mediation and counselling

31 Miles of Strength and Sisterhood 🏁
In June, I undertook a deeply personal challenge; a 31-mile walk in 30-degree heat, marking 26 years since I embraced Islam. This wasn’t just a physical challenge. It was a declaration of resilience and commitment to the cause. Alhamdulillah, your support raised an incredible £18,360.
Collaborations
Throughout the first half of 2025, I was honoured to deliver eight talks and collaborative engagements across the UK on behalf of Solace, including sessions with revert groups, Islamic centres, and community organisations. These talks addressed key themes such as navigating the holidays as a revert, overcoming cultural misunderstandings in the ummah, and finding purpose through trials. These events have not only helped amplify Solace’s mission but also provided meaningful dialogue and connection ensuring that the unique voices and needs of revert women are heard, validated, and supported within the wider Muslim community.
