Walking 31 Miles to support Revert Woman
Marking 26 Years since Aliyah Umm Raiyaan embraced Islam
“On 21st June 1999, I embraced Islam and began a journey filled with both joy and deep trials – moments that shaped my faith and my soul. This 21st June 2025, exactly 26 years later, I’ll be walking a 31-mile ultra marathon to raise funds for Solace UK, the charity I founded to support women who have embraced Islam and find themselves in difficulty. Support me – so we can support them, beyond the shahadah and into healing, hope, and lasting change.”

On Saturday 21st June 2025, Aliyah Umm Raiyaan will walk 50KM (approximately 31 miles) to mark 26 years since embracing Islam. This 6–8 hour challenge aims to raise £26,000 in vital support for revert women in need.
Aliyah embraced Islam in 1999 at the age of 16. Like many revert women, she faced loneliness, isolation, and a lack of support. Every revert woman’s journey is unique, and beyond the shahadah, the need for emotional, spiritual, and practical support remains deep and ongoing.
By taking on this challenge, Aliyah is walking/running in solidarity with revert women , raising awareness and vital funds to ensure no woman walks this path alone.
