Give her a listening ear so she's not alone — £10
Your donation gives her a support session with one of the support workers at Solace, so she can have a listening ear and someone who’s supporting her, helping her hold on to her deen — a firm reminder that Allah is with her.
Last year, Solace provided emotional and spiritual support to revert women worldwide through 1:1 support sessions (£36,834.75). That’s over 3,600 support sessions or at least 10 support sessions every single day of the year.
“I walked away with confidence and peace within the journey I am currently on and they helped me to really understand my trauma from a compassionate and empathetic place and for that I am so grateful to the amazing women at Solace”

Gift her with joy on the days of 'Eid — £10
It is often the only gift a revert sister will receive and can help strengthen revert sisters who are lonely, have been abandoned by their families, are victims of abuse, or have doubts in their faith. Last year, Solace distributed 468 gifts on the days of ‘eid, bringing joy to revert women and their families.
“SubhanAllah words can not express what an amazing support this is. It can feel a bit lonely during eid. I see other muslim families celebrating and giving gifts to each other. It gives such a warm feeling that there are people who care about your happiness on Eid.”

Invest in her knowledge and education — £25
“When the human being dies, his deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 1631
Give revert women the gift of knowledge and earn the ongoing reward.
In the past years, revert women have been gifted with courses on the Quran, prayer, parenting, and more; books and other educational materials.

Help her overcome trauma from abuse — £50
Many revert women who come to Solace are victims of domestic violence. Often they reach out and are in pieces from abusive relationships or families, needing help to heal from their difficult past.
One counseling session is £50.
“I was unable to cope and overwhelmed. I felt paralysed inside. I kept going with my everyday life but I was very anxious and lonely. The sessions helped me to get more clarity and to move forward. I now feel much better and stronger than a few months ago, and I am also more at peace with myself and in my relationship with Allah.”

Give her emotional support so she's not on her own — £100
When a sister comes to Solace, often she feels alone on her journey and has no support system. With your donation, we can be there for her for six consecutive weeks, ensuring she has a listening ear, supporting her, and empowering her in her deen.

Provide for her and her children's basic needs — £250
Solace sends food vouchers to revert women and their children who have left an abusive home or are struggling to make ends meet.
Last year, we fed and clothed revert women and their children, covering their basic needs at home, and kept them warm through winter. (£4,501.00)

Keep them safe and protected at home — £500
Many revert women are kicked out and abandoned by their families upon their conversion to Islam. Last year, Solace spent £14,171 to keep revert women protected and safe by helping them stay in their own homes.
“I slept at the station with my Quran.”
“I went home and told my family, and they told me to get out.”
“My father kicked me out of the house and I didn’t where I would go.”

Give the monthly support she needs
“I think in terms of support in general, when I first reverted, the best way to describe it is ‘shiny toy syndrome’. You’re really cute and you’re new and you’re amazing. And mashaAllah, for about three months,” said Fatima.
This is the case for many reverts.
Nur said, “It was all ‘mashaAllah’, and when I went through the most difficult time of my life, it was dead quiet. Noone was there.”
By becoming a monthly donor, you are becoming their support system.
“Solace helps me to not feel so isolated.”
“I can have conversations with Solace [my support worker] that I can’t have with anybody else.”
“When Allah brought me back to the deen, I contacted Solace and I was supported at a very difficult time. I felt protected and loved as a Muslim, and that meant everything to me.“
“My support worker immediately made me feel at ease and was quick to grasp my situation. Having someone to listen and who understood was invaluable.”
“I found Solace through a revert Muslim friend, little did I know that the support provided by Solace would change my life so much, for the best.”
“I was going to be homeless and Solace supported me. They helped me realised that there was help out there for me and I don’t feel so alone now. This changed my life and has taught me to help others.”
“Solace helped me and gave me the confidence to stand on my own. They empowered me to start living life for myself and for Allah (SWT). I am incredibly grateful for everything they have done for me.”
“They have helped me and supported me through so much. It’s given me a sense of belonging and made me a lot more confident in myself as a Muslim revert.”
“Supporting reverts is necessary. One person’s life changes.”
Allah, the Exalted, says, “Spend, O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you.”
